Very happy with the products! Haven’t tried them on a official hiking/camping trip yet but I have tried them at home to start a fire and they work as advertised…
Best fire starters I’ve ever used. No need for kindling. Pull apart and put a couple fire starters in and you’re good to go. No need for matches either, although I’m sure they’ll work fine. I like to use a fire steel, light right up. Won’t be caught without Bigfoot bushcraftfire starters!
Timed one half of a single fire starter and it lasted a good 4.5 minutes. Great hot flame that started with sparks from fire ferro rod and knife and can't wait to use in the bush next week.
Tins work great for fire plugs, you can pack plenty of plugs into one of these tins.
I also purchased fire plugs, I'm am very pleased with these plugs.
I ran a test with these plugs vs black beard plugs, I found that both work well. However, I did discover that the Bigfoot plugs burn cleaner and seem to fully ignite quicker.
I have ferro rods from both companies, both work well but the Bigfoot in my opinion is the better of the 2. The Bigfoot rod seems to produce bigger sparks and the wood handle is a big plus!
Awsome tin! The first one was damaged and replaced with no questions asked. This will be a company I will stay with for my buschcraft needs and I recommend to everone.....
Nice tin, seals well and small. These features make it the perfect carrying tin for these great fire starters. Perfect way to carry in your pack, bino pack, and in your hunting rig for use whenever you need them.
I put 25 Fire Plugs in each of my containers. I can see where the container itself would provide multiple uses for different bushcraft situations. I keep one in my jeep, one in my backpack, and as a wildlife photographer, one in my camera case.
Solid tins. Immediately loaded both up with fire plugs & packed in my backpack. Tried the fire plugs with starting a fire in my new fire pit. Lit immediately and after the fire without fail. Great products!
